I love how it acts as a foundation for editing my pictures, I choose one depending on the mood I'm going for and just make little tweaks here and there. Love the Basics Volume 1 presets pack! Extremely easy to us and the five presets are very versatile. I love these presets!! Like Christine said, you will always have to tweak things, but her video on tips for editing really helped! I can now have an aesthetically pleasing feed and it’s beginner friendly! Totally worth it. I will never post another IG picture without using one of these presets on it! I love the way my pics have that gorgeous, clean vibe now. To start off, I think I have decent photo editing skills but these presets have simplified the editing process so much! I have only used these presets on pictures of me (similar skin tone to Christine) and they have worked really well. You want to direct the viewer’s attention away from the outer areas and toward the focal point.Love these presets!! I've always had trouble editing my photos and finding a good aesthetic for my IG but I trust Christine's presets because her IG is goals! And the names of her presets are the best. But you can also get great results using a Graduated filter, especially if your subject features well-defined, geometric edges.ĭrag a (heavily feathered) Graduated filter across the side of the image, then use it to subtly drop the exposure.ĭuplicate the filter, then position the second filter on the other side of your subject.Ĭontinue with the duplication and positioning process until your Graduated filters cover every edge of the subject. Most photographers use Lightroom’s Effects panel or a Radial filter to create a vignette.

Create a vignette with several Graduated filters

And if you want to push the viewer’s eye into the scene, try adding a second, smaller Graduated filter below the first, then use it to reduce the exposure in the immediate foreground area.
